Well I sold my 80 gal African Cichlid tank today............... We are having to downsize because we will be moving out to Vegas soon. Other than my salty, that was my favorite tank. I felt really bad for my fish. They were so happy in they're home and have never been so disrupted. The guy I sold it to seemed to know some about aquarium husbandry and I hope he retains some of the advise I gave him, but who knows. I did feel like I was betraying my fish. I have never put such a personal face on my fish (like my wife does) But they seem very bummed out........................ Next up............My 100 gal community tank. I don't think that one will be as hard to get over for whatever reason......... Ok time to go have a beer to drown my sorrows.

i'm sorry you had to sell your tank it's hard to get rid of fish, even if you know it's the best thing to do or the only thing you can do.

Awww Rick, I am so sorry you are having to sell your tanks. Its really hard to downsize and I am sure moving fish and tanks to Vegas would not be easy. Are you planning on keeping any of your tanks? When I sell fish, even if I am not that attached to the fish, I get sad when the person comes to pick them up and I have to say goodbye. Your fish are lucky that they had you to give them a good home for as long as they did.

Thanks a lot................ Well I'm sure wifey is planning on keeping her betta's but I am going to sell all the rest. We will have to rent for a while until our house here is sold. Once that happens will be looking for a new house and the main thing I will be looking for is being able to build a nice 300 gal in wall reef tank. The house will have to be set up in a way for that to happen. I am so into salt now, there's turning back.

Well I am glad that Jacq isn't parting with her bettas. I know how much she loves them That in wall reef tank sounds awesome!!! I want to get into salt one of these days, but its an expensive hobby. Good luck finding a new house and selling your current house. Hopefully you will find something that you are really happy with.
