| My Platy's are the same - they claim starvation to anyone who happens to walk by - anyone would think that they were trying to break out and the feeding frenzy that follows is madness.
Beautiful cichlids BTW - such a range of colours - how big is your tank? What temp do you keep?

| Beautiful fish! I had to laugh about the fridge! I really want a new one so every time it makes any sort of noise I say "yea, the fridge it breaking!" but the darn thing is the energizer bunny and keeps going and going, and going. When we moved to TX from CA I asked the movers if they could drop it but they didn't take me seriously and that was 5 years ago. | |

| no its there im sure LOL they all will eventually come to the top...even the weeny tiny one  the pink is still up in the air for sexing...she/he is the jellybean and is totally shaped different than my pink con female..and cons can close their mouths totally..that pink cannot so im 90% sure its a jelly......but all the jellys have the orange bellys...I cant imagine that i had all 9 females? LOL | |

I hope I find the other tiny one, one came out but the other didn't.

| she will be fine in the 20 with the babies...thats where she has been it gives her confidence because they do NOT have the temperaments of the cons ...especially after her trip haha....for the next few days, every time you go up to the tank, feed them a tiny bit...it gets the babies conditioned so that whenever they see you, your food! then they always will be at the front and top whenever you are near it | |

| They are def beggars!
I have one that attacks the glass when you put your hand near his "territory" its so funny, he literally bites the glass and shakes his tail fins like he is mouth fighting. He has done this for a few months now. I have video of this but very slow internet, I am dying to post it! Hes my guard fish (hed do better than the dog, she pee's on herself with excitement when even daddy walks in the door).
BTW the guard fish is a Kenyi (big meanies! but I love em) | |

| Shawnie: WOW now they are really something else. I think I may have just found what im doing with my new tank. I was down the LFS today and they have a tank with a sign on them saying malawi lake cichlids. I would love to own a marine tank but I dont have anywere near enough experiance for that yet, these look as close to marine fish (colour wise) as im going to get for a good while. Thankyou for sharing them with us. | |
