I said tonite, there cant be any more additions until we do it together... I dont want to hinder his liking of them by any means, but concerned with compatability...he said he would just get a huge tank!! (which I love that idea to no end) but a big tank wont due fro dead fish honey !!! (batting my eyelashes)

Beautiful!! What kind of shells are those? I didn't know if you could put shells in with cichlids. Also, what is the yellow thingie with holes they are swimming through? Remember, I am a "newbie".

LOL Shawnie... be careful what you wish for!
Ohh I love it! hahah.... that is so cute that your BF has gotten bit by the love of fish heehe...
I will look at some photos in my fish ID book and see if I can come up with anything. A few look easy enough, one being the yellow elec lab or Johanni? But I will see what I can come up with. Hopefully SteveAngela will be along to help you ID the fish.

EDIt:
Shawnie.. check out this page in the link.. it has like 100 of the most popular A. Cichlids in color. Hopefully you will be able to ID your fish.

Not sure what they are, but they sure are awesome! I don't know if I would be happy if my husband got that interested in my fish. I like to take care of all of that, and he seems happy not to, LOL! I guess if he had his own tank, but then I might be jealous if his was bigger than mine or more attractive. I guess you can't win them all, though it looks like you have taught him well(except the identify the fish thing LOL)

Either way, more fish...Yay!

Well I think he's really hooked up on A. cichlids like me. If you don't know what kind they are I found this couple of days ago.

I think I saw an Electric Blue and maybe a Red Zebra and the yellow one if is just solid yellow with no black on the top fin is a Blue Daktari. Hope you good luck on finding what kind they are.

I want some!! Which $ store? We have several here, so I might be able to find them. How big are they, so I know what to look for, because I can't see the whole thing on the pics. Thanks!!

He looks like a peacock I'm not sure what his coloration is called. The peacocks are really relitively the same as far as size and temperment go. He is a beauty for sure I have a peacock in my African tank and I love him to pieces
