African Cichlid Photos - Use this board
If there isn't a specific board for your species, feel free to post your African Cichlid pics here on this board. Once we get enough posts on the species we can move any photos for that species into posts inside the applicable species board. Also, comments on photos are welcome but please move side-conversations to another post.
Thanks,
Mike

While your compliments on the photos are really appreciated, text-only posts will be removed after a while to keep the gallery pictures-only. If there is a discussion you do not want to loose, please start it again in a separate thread.
Thanks,
Armadillo

Thanks for posting, Ross! We need the likes of you and Dino to beef up on rarer species photos.

My Leleupi's
I am new to these guys. I have raised Oscars, and Golden Jaguar Managuense's, now those were agressive. My breeding pair were both over 14 inches. These Leleui's are so small. The are more shy at the tank. I am not sure how old they are but right now they measure about 2 inches. They were a rescue. I took them with a Betta and a yoyo loach in a 10 gal. tank. The Betta survived and has a new home and the 3 moved to a 20 gal. Just wanted to show off my babies.

Pic of my Paratilapia Polleni
Although from Madagascar it's still African. Did not see any post or pictures so I thought I'd share. This is a 5"+ probable male. I rescued him out of a 5 gallon tank. He was then put in a 29 gallon alone. He was not personable, hid all day and I did not see him eat for a month. As a last attempt I put him in my 125 gallon w/ a jaguar, festae pair, red devil, flagged cichlid and some dithers. Wow, what a difference tank mates have made for him. He is a totally changed fish now full of personality and an aggressive eater. I've always wanted one and I am currently raising 6 bleekeri to try my hand @ breeding them.
